Custom Planter Box Sydney

A series of custom GRC round planters were supplied for a high-end residential project in Sydney, Australia.

The client required large circular planter units combined with anti-corrosion timber elements, creating a durable and elegant landscape feature for the residence. Each planter reached up to 2.3 meters in diameter and 0.5 meters in height, making production accuracy and installation planning especially important.

The key challenge of this project was the size and segmented structure. To make transportation and on-site handling more practical, the planters were produced in separate components and assembled on site. This required precise control of the round shape, joint alignment, and final visual consistency after installation.

Material and detail control were also critical. GRC was selected for its lightweight strength, outdoor durability, and solid architectural appearance. At the same time, the choice of accessories, anti-corrosion timber details, and colour consistency across all GRC components had to be carefully managed during production.

Once installed, the planters helped define the outdoor space, soften the architectural lines of the residence, and create a more refined landscape atmosphere. The combination of GRC and timber added both strength and warmth, turning the planter system into a functional yet visually elevated architectural feature.

For this Sydney project, the success was not only in producing large planters, but in solving the challenges of size, assembly, accessory selection, and consistent finishing.
